OUR POLICY

ARRIVAL TIME

Please aim to arrive 5-10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time with clean/makeup free eyes and lashes. Extra time spent cleaning your lashes will mean less time lashing. If you arrive after your scheduled appointment time, it may not be possible to extend the time available for your booked service; if your service is shortened due to your late arrival, you will still be charged the full cost of the service.

CHANGING YOUR APPOINTMENT

A minimum of 24 hours notice is required to reschedule or cancel a booked appointment without penalty.

SICKNESS OR FAMILY EMERGENCY

If you, or another person in your household, has an infectious or contagious illness, please contact us as soon as possible to reschedule your appointment for a later date. For your safety and that of staff and other clients, please do not come to your appointments sick. If it is assumed you are currently sick, your appointment may be cut short or cancelled and rescheduled for when you are healthy again. As a working mom, I understand the occasional family emergency may arise unexpectedly. A one-time allowance of last minute cancellation or reschedule will be permitted for sickness or family emergency. After that the cancellation and no show policy is in effect.

CANCELLATION/NO SHOW

As a courtesy, appointment reminders are sent out 72 and 24 hours either by text, email, or both. If an appointment is canceled or rescheduled within 24 hours or less before the appointment, you will be charged 50% of your service as a cancellation fee. If you are a no-show or cancel the day of your appointment, you will be charged 100% of your service as a cancellation fee. A credit card deposit for all clients or appointments over $50 will be required at the time of booking. This is to protect the time that is set aside especially for you, as well as to protect our time which books up quickly, especially around any upcoming holiday. In turn, we promise to keep appointments on time, give you our full and undivided attention, and of course, the best lash work Houston, TX has to offer!

OTHER ARTISTS' WORK

New clients with extensions must schedule a “Relash from different Salon”. If you currently have eyelash extensions on from another lash artist, there is a strong likelihood that your lashes will need to be removed and put back on properly. Due to the unregulated nature of eyelash extension trainings, certifications and state board regulations, there are a lot of lash artists that have been improperly trained and at MoonCatSpace  Beauty Lounge, our priority is your natural lash health and eye safety. Thus if you are coming in for a touch up from another lash artist, then you agree that your current extensions may need to be removed and a new full set will be applied at the appropriate full set price.

AFTER HOURS APPOINTMENTS

Certain circumstances and seasons may leave you in a panic to squeeze in a last minute lash appointment that is outside of our normal business hours. After hours appointments may be available on a case by case basis for an additional $100 fee. Please contact us directly to schedule your after hours appointment.

REFUND POLICY

You are paying for artist time, product and other expenses used to provide you with a service. No refunds will be given for any reason on services or products. If you are unhappy with a service, you may contact us within 72 hours of your appointment to discuss your concerns and if a fix can be done to address your concerns, it will be done so with a complimentary 30 minute express touch up if it is the fault of application or product. Any concerns addressed after 72 hours of your last appointment or if you failed to follow the proper aftercare instructions, will be charged at full price for the service.

GUESTS/PETS:

  • Due to the nature of our detailed services, as well as the space restrictions within our studio, we kindly request that you arrive unaccompanied to your appointment.

  • Our studio offers a soothing environment for all clients and staff. Keeping that as our focus, we do not allow babies or children under the age of 18 years old. This policy is also for the safety of your children, our artists, and our clients, as you will be unable to attend your children during your appointment.

  • We also do not allow pets of any kind, other than service animals, in our lash studio. This is due to Health Department regulations, and is strictly enforced.

PRE-CARE

is as important as post-care.

  • Stop using retinol creams 4 weeks before your appointment.

  • Do not drink alcoholic beverages 24 hours before your appointment.

  • Do not use NSAIDs or blood thinners 24 hours before your appointment.

  • Do not tan one week before your appointment

  • No Botox 4 weeks before your appointment

  • No antibiotics 2 months before your appointment

During the procedure we will clean and apply numbing cream to the eyebrow area, then we perform a mapping technique to ensure symmetry and balance of your features. With this technique, we create a mock of what will be achieved during the appointment, and then we have you take a look to make sure you are happy with the expected result.

With your approval, we then begin to make small strokes resembling eyebrow hairs using a handheld microblading tool. After the first pass, we will wipe the brows to see how the pigmentation is holding before beginning the second pass, continuing to wipe, and the check pigment and placement. The last thing we will do is have you look in the mirror and make sure you are pleased with your new brows!

The healing process takes a total of about an4-6 weeks, depending on your ability to heal and follow the care instructions. Immediately after your new brows will appear much darker and the area will be slightly inflamed. It is crucial that you do not touch, scratch, or rub the eyebrow area. You will also want to make sure you keep the area as clean and prevent sweating. On Days 2 - 3, you will notice your brows start to develop small scabs. On day 4 you will begin to notice your brow area feels itchy. Do NOT scratch! By Day 7 the scabs start coming loose, and may even look stuck to your brow hair. Do not pull the scabs off the hairs. Around Day 12 you should see little to no scabs. You may also notice that your brows look light or hardly visible. About Day 14 you can now exercise and allow your face to get wet during your shower. As late as Day 35 but maybe sooner the pigment will come to the surface and your skin will have completely healed.

AFTER-CARE

is a must if you want the best results from your Permanent makeup procedure. You will go home with an aftercare kit which will have forehead cover and tattoo cream. Some of the necessary steps to care for your new brows include:

  • Do not saturate or let any water fall onto your brows in the first two weeks or until you do not have scabs

  • Do not wash your brows in the first 2 weeks, or until you do not have scabs.

  • Do not apply makeup to the brow area for the first 2 weeks or until you do not have scabs
